Karate is the art of using not just the fist or foot but the whole body, including the breath, in every movement. Components of a typical class include stretching, fundamentals (stances, strikes, kicks, blocks, combinations), conditioning, meditation, kata (form), self-defense strategies, and kumite (contact sparring). Adults are welcome to train on their own during open floor hours before class begins.
